No minimum! You can book for just yourself, as a couple, or bring a full group of up to 6. The boat is yours for the duration — we don't mix groups.

None at all. A licensed USCG captain handles all the sailing and navigation. You're there to relax and enjoy the ride. If you want to help trim sails or take the helm, just ask — but it's entirely optional.

Yes, BYOB is welcome and encouraged! Bring your own drinks, snacks, and anything else you'd like. We provide a cooler with ice. You are responsible for your own alcohol — we don't serve or sell drinks. Please drink responsibly.

Safety is the captain's #1 priority. If conditions are unsafe, we'll cancel and offer you a full refund or free reschedule. If we cancel more than 48 hours in advance, you get a full refund. The captain has final say on whether it's safe to go out.

Dress in layers — it can be warm onshore but cool on the water. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and non-marking shoes (no black-soled shoes that could scuff the deck). We recommend a light jacket or hoodie even on warm days.

Absolutely! Private events are one of our most popular bookings. We can help coordinate decorations and customize the route. Contact us to discuss your vision and we'll make it happen.

Yes. While we have recommended bar stops, the captain can adjust the route based on your preferences. Want to skip a stop and spend more time at another? No problem. Want to anchor and swim? We can do that too.

No worries — that's the beauty of having a boat. If one spot is packed, we'll sail to the next one. Your captain knows all the best alternatives and can pivot on the fly.

We collect a $750 refundable damage deposit before each trip. If the boat is returned in good condition (which it almost always is), you get the full amount back within 48 hours. Any damage beyond normal wear is deducted from the deposit.

Cancel more than 48 hours before your trip for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable. Weather cancellations by the captain always receive a full refund or free reschedule.

Yes! Our captain is a non-denominational minister who can officiate your ceremony for $2,000. You get the boat for the full day — arrive early to decorate, bring your own alcohol and food, and make it yours. We'll sail to a location of your choosing on Lake Union for the ceremony. You can even spend the night on the boat afterward for an additional $200. Intimate ceremonies of up to 8 guests. Contact us to plan your perfect day.

Absolutely. Our day charter is $600 and gives you the boat for the full day on Lake Union or Lake Washington. We'll help you dock and undock — you just enjoy the water. Bring your own food and drinks. Add an overnight stay for $200 if you want to sleep aboard.

Duck Dodge is Seattle's famous Tuesday night sailboat race on Lake Union, running throughout the summer season. It's a casual, fun race with hundreds of boats — more party than competition. We sell individual seats at $100 each (up to 6 per boat). No sailing experience needed. BYOB, show up, and enjoy the ride. Book through our booking page and select 'Duck Dodge' as the experience.

Sail It Forward is our weekly community program. Every week, we take a group out on Lake Union completely free of charge. No cost, no catch. Apply on our Sail It Forward page and we'll reach out if your group is selected.

All trips depart from the Agua Verde Cafe dock on the west side of Lake Union, near the University of Washington. We'll send you exact directions and parking tips when your booking is confirmed.
